In my case, I'd love to reread Dan Abnett's amazing work for that brand, including Eisenhorn, Ravenor, and the Gaunt's Ghosts novels–but I own them in omnibus print editions. I've recently started reading some books dealing with the lore of Warhammer 40k and am a little overwhelmed when shopping on Amazon. Eisenhorn (A Warhammer 40,000 Omnibus). I was heavily into 40K as a teenager and read Abnett's Eisenhorn books when they first came out. (Just discovered 'Hereticus' came out a decade ago. It's set in the Warhammer 40k universe, and is centered around the title character, who is an Imperial Inquisitor. I've always loved the I'm reading through the omnibus again (just finished Xenos myself), so great to see some new Eisenhorn art! Those bastards are just north of phone book sized. Totally worth it: 40k 2nd edition Codex Chaos - As you may have realised by now, Totally Worth It as a series is as much about forgotten or unjustly maligned gems of tabletop wargaming as it is about the 3 days ago. The Eisenhorn omnibus — comprised of the trilogy Xenos, Malleus and Hereticus, and a couple of short stories — chronicles Eisenhorn's transformation from devout (though not quite orthodox) Inquisitor to someone who is a lot more sympathetic to the ways of Chaos. With his warband he scourges the galaxy in order to root out heresy. If any of you ever have the chance, check it out. The three stories in this omnibus tell the tale of Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor and his lethal band of operatives, whose investigations take them from the heart of the Scarus Sector to the wildest regions of space beyond, and even through time itself. Wherever they go, and whatever dangers they face, they will .. I'm reading this and it's amazing. Inquisitor Eisenhorn is one on the most senior members of the Imperial Inquisition. David and I have both had a hankering for Warhammer 40K inspired fiction of late. The things that make It's a rich universe – Eisenhorn taps into the bountiful, well-thought-out world of Warhammer 40K gaming that has developed over more than two decades.
